Effective date: September 30, 2026
The LaVille Phishing Reporter is an internal email-security tool provided by LaVille Community Schools for authorized district staff. By using the add-on, you agree to these terms.
Purpose
The add-on allows authorized staff members to report suspicious email messages to the LaVille Technology Department. It is intended only for legitimate school security and incident-response purposes.
Information Collected
When a message is reported, the add-on sends limited information to the Technology Department, including the reporter’s email address, sender, subject, message identifier, message date, and report time. The add-on does not collect the message body or attachments.
Message Removal
Submitting a report may move the reporter’s copy of the message to Trash. When three authorized staff members report the same message, the district’s automated security system may search active district mailboxes for exact copies and permanently remove them without additional notice.
Although the system is designed to identify exact copies, a legitimate message could occasionally be removed. Users should contact the Technology Department if they believe a legitimate message was removed.
Acceptable Use
Users must report messages honestly and in good faith. The add-on may not be used to intentionally disrupt district communications, target legitimate senders, submit false reports, or interfere with school operations.
User Responsibilities
Reporting a message does not replace the need to contact the Technology Department immediately if the user clicked a link, opened or downloaded an attachment, entered information, approved a sign-in request, or otherwise interacted with the suspicious message.
Availability
LaVille Community Schools may modify, suspend, or discontinue the add-on at any time. The district does not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every malicious message will be identified or removed.
Privacy
Use of the add-on is also subject to the LaVille Community Schools Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
LaVille Community Schools may update these terms when necessary. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
